Sharing my bible study notes with you
In the last several years I have become obsessed with not just studying the bible, but digging deep to understand the scritoure in the way the author spoek it to its original audience. That means we need to look at the culture of the time and how things were done. Obviously we do things differently than the biblical Hebrews. However, without understanding their culture at that time, it would be very easy to misunderstand scripture. So it’s with delight that I can shaere with what I learn.
Christine’s Corner is going to be a place where I share what I am learning from my studies and some of the resources I used to find information. I would love your input or any questions you ponder on.
We’d never intentionally write chapters of confusion, failure, loss, pain, conflict, or suffering into our stories. No one plans to wrestle with her identity in Christ, to struggle to love her husband, to feel lonely in ministry, or to feel helpless in motherhood. Yet we often find ourselves in these seasons, struggling to embrace the gospel hope we need to fill our discouraged souls. In this study you will learn how to practice preaching gospel truth to yourself by studying Paul’s example. In every changing season of life, you can rest in God’s character, rehearse our identity in Christ, respond in faith, and remember God’s provision for us.
